Marketing for remodelers

More kitchen and bath remodels from homeowners ready to build.

We put your finished rooms in front of homeowners while they are still planning, and stay with them until they are ready to sign.

The problem

Remodeling customers take months to decide. Most marketing gives up on them in a week.

A kitchen remodel does not start with a phone call. It starts with a saved photo, a weekend of scrolling, a conversation at the dinner table about whether this is the year. By the time a homeowner fills out your form they have been thinking about it for a long time, and they are probably talking to two or three other remodelers too.

That is where it goes wrong. The request comes in, you call once, maybe twice, and when they do not pick up it goes cold in your head. They have not gone cold. They are still deciding. A few months later they sign with somebody, and it is usually the company that kept showing up: a text after the consultation, photos of a similar kitchen, a check-in when the design was ready.

The next leak is budget. Renovation shows and social media have convinced a lot of people that a new kitchen costs a fraction of what it really does. Without a way to talk about investment before the design meeting, you spend evenings on layouts and selections for people who walk the moment they see the number.

Then there are the shared lead sites. The same homeowner gets passed to several remodelers, everyone's phone rings within minutes, and the job turns into a price fight. For a business that wins on design and craftsmanship, that is the worst place to compete.

And your best marketing is sitting in your camera roll. Hundreds of before and after photos that never make it onto your website, your Google profile or an ad.

Look at your last ten consultations. How many did anyone follow up on after the second call?

How homeowners pick a remodeler

Remodeling is visual and personal. Homeowners save ideas on Instagram, Pinterest and Houzz long before they look for a contractor. When they do search, it is usually for the room, like "kitchen remodel near me" or "bathroom remodel" and their town, not the word remodeler.

Then they vet hard. They want to see projects like theirs, read reviews about the process and whether the timeline held, and understand how payments work. On bigger projects, financing comes up, and a remodeler who explains the options clearly removes one of the biggest reasons people keep waiting.

Most will meet with more than one company, and many are working back from a date, like a holiday or a family visit. The remodeler who communicates best between the first visit and the signature usually wins.

What we run

What we run for remodelers

01Ads

Instagram and Facebook ads built from your own projects

Before and after photos and short walkthrough videos of your kitchens and baths, shown to homeowners in your service area while they are still in the idea stage.

02Ads

Search and Local Services Ads split by room

Kitchen remodeling and bathroom remodeling are separate Local Services Ads categories. We split Search campaigns the same way, so someone planning a bathroom lands on bathroom work.

03Website

A portfolio that sells the next project

Project pages by room with your real photos, a plain explanation of how your process and payments work, and a consultation form that asks about scope and budget range up front.

04Systems

Follow-up that lasts through a long decision

After the consultation, texts and emails keep you in the conversation for weeks and months: design check-ins, similar projects, a heads-up when your schedule opens.

05SEO

A Google profile full of finished rooms and detailed reviews

Project photos added regularly, and a review request after every job that invites the customer to mention the room and what the experience was like.

06Systems

Past clients brought back for the next room

The family that loved their new kitchen is the most likely to call you about the bathroom. We keep your past client list warm so they do.

What to watch in remodeling

Remodeling ads can fall under Meta's housing category, which removes age targeting and requires locations to cover at least a 15 mile radius. You cannot aim an ad only at the higher-end neighborhoods, so the ad itself has to attract the right homeowner by showing the level of work you do. On Google, the kitchen and bath Local Services Ads categories come with screening, including license, insurance and, for many businesses, background checks on the business and owner, so we start that early to avoid a slow launch.

If you work on homes built before 1978, the EPA lead renovation rule requires firms paid to disturb painted surfaces to be certified, down to sole proprietors. Opening up painted walls and trim in an older house counts. If you are certified, say so on your website. It is a legal requirement, and saying it plainly is a trust signal a lot of competitors skip.

Questions

What owners ask us.

How do we stop meeting with people whose budget is a fraction of the project?
Talk about investment before the consultation. Your website can explain what drives the price of a remodel, your form can ask for a budget range, and a short text exchange can confirm it. The people who are not ready sort themselves out, and the ones who are come in informed.
Should we be on Houzz, Angi or similar sites?
They can bring volume, but the same homeowner is often in front of several companies at once. We would rather build requests that come straight to you, from your own Google profile, website and ads, so you compete on your work instead of speed and price. If a lead site is bringing you profitable jobs, keep it, and we will measure it next to everything else.
Do Instagram and Facebook ads actually work for remodeling?
They can, when they show real work. People plan kitchens and baths for months, and seeing your finished rooms during that time is what puts you on their short list. Search ads catch the people ready to call this week. Most remodelers need both.
We do not have good photos of our projects. Is that a problem?
It is common and it is fixable. We set up a simple way to capture every finished project from now on, and we make the photos and short videos in house. Your camera roll probably has more usable material than you think.
How much does it cost?
It depends on your business: the projects you want, where you work and what is already in place. We quote it on the call once we understand all of that, so you never pay for pieces you do not need. Ad spend is separate and goes directly to Meta or Google.
